SOMEWHERE between the MOUNTAINS and the SEA, A PLAN BEGAN TO FORM

how it BEGAN

When I was little, I would go berry picking in the Swiss mountains with my grandfather.

One day, he stopped and told me to sit.

“Look,” he said. “There.”

I couldn’t see anything.

He told me that to see the deer, I had to be stiller than the deer. So I waited. Then an ear twitched. A branch moved. And suddenly, there it was.

Beside him, the quiet never felt empty. It was full of things I might otherwise have missed—the movement of the trees, a sound in the distance, the feeling of simply being there.

He showed me the difference between looking and noticing. Between listening and really hearing.

WHY now?

I’ve always loved the way a place can change how you feel.

A wide view. A quiet room. The smell of trees after rain. Cold water on warm skin. Sometimes you arrive somewhere and, before anything has happened, you feel a little more—or a little less—like yourself.

Then life became full.

Work, motherhood, responsibilities and the constant thinking ahead. Like so many women, I became very good at carrying on.

I was diagnosed with cancer at 21, and again years later, when my youngest daughter was three months old.

I don’t believe experiences like these arrive with a neat lesson.
But they changed my relationship with time. They showed me how easily we postpone ourselves - waiting for life to become quieter before resting, changing direction or paying attention to what we need.

I began to understand that place can help us do that.

Our surroundings shape how we feel, what we notice and what becomes possible. That became The Psychology of Place.

And, slowly, it became HOT.

where the LIGHT speaks

We choose places for how they make you feel, not simply how they look.

A place to watch the sun go down. The warmth of lamplight as evening settles in. Nature close by. The sounds you wake up to. Spaces that invite people together and quiet corners that let you disappear.

Every location has something of its own to offer. A different landscape, a different rhythm and a different way of seeing things.

Some places stay with us - not only because of where we were, but because of who we became while we were there.

not JUST for SUMMER

HOT follows the seasons.

Long, sunlit days. Salt on your skin. Slow lunches beneath the trees.

But also cooler mornings, fireside conversations, wild walks and evenings that draw everyone closer.

Every season creates a different kind of space. We choose the right places at the right time and let nature shape what happens there.

BOOK NOW

can't wait to MEET YOU

The retreat is a journey - towards calm, connection and a shift that stays with you beyond the few days we share.

The days unfold gently. Guided walks, thoughtful conversations, creative sessions, journaling, sensory experiences, and proper rest. Enough structure to feel held, with plenty of space to follow your own rhythm.

No packed schedules. No monitoring. No pressure to fix or perform.
What most of us rarely have is room for ourselves. No to-do list. No responsibilities or anyone needing anything from us. Just time to rest, wander, laugh, connect, or simply be ourselves.

HOT is that room.

A beautiful place to step away from the noise, feel looked after and become, just for a little while, stiller than the deer.

We’ve created something beautiful. Are you coming?
